Shoplifter grabs guard’s gun, fires shots in store

LAUREL, Md. — Anne Arundel County police are looking for a man who grabbed a security guard‘s handgun and fired shots in a Laurel supermarket. No one was hurt.
Police say about 8 p.m. Sunday, at security guard at Weis Market confronted a shoplifter. A struggle ensued and the shoplifter grabbed the guard’s semi-automatic handgun, firing several shots in the store.
The man then fled on foot with the weapon.
