Immediately after part one of Cecil Burch’s Combative Applications of Chokes class, I stayed in the “Sand Pit” where the combatives courses of Paul-E-Palooza 3 were held to take Craig Douglas’ Managing Unknown Contacts Course.
Simply put the Managing Unknown Contacts module is something that should be taught in every single concealed carry class across the country even before the shooting portion of the concealed carry class. It is that critical of a skill.
Ideally, I would love to see the Managing Unknown Contacts module incorporated into the official NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home course.

- Practice your “tape loop” speech and moving

- Weight Shifting
- Preparing to strike
- Sometimes an indicator of agitation or excitement

- Subconsciously “checking if the coast is clear”
