I found this at http://www.ncgunblog.com/2013/05/05/its-an-anti-gun-self-defense-school/
It is my opinion that advice shown below is irresponsible because it is dictated by a political agenda rather than reality.
Kelly McCann’s book has an excellent guide to screening firearms and other self-defense instructors.
At best you could say that it is an alternative for people who don’t believe they could use deadly force (a legitimate concern that many have not seriously considered).
I have read Lt. Col. Dave Grossman’s “On Killing” but have read other sources that suggest perhaps that his conclusions are not entirely accurate. Honest answer is I don’t know. I don’t have a problem with people offering alternatives to people who don’t think they could use deadly force. But I agree it should not be packaged as the one and only, or necessarily best solution.
Guess it is a decision everyone has to seriously think about. Unless you have put your sights on another person’s vitals and contemplated pulling the trigger do you really have an idea of the dilemma. 🙂

Pepper spray vs. shooter? Bringing only a knife to the gunfight is bad enough, but staking your life on the immediate incapacitating effects of pepper spray? No thanks.
